The composition of the board of directors of Balkan Holdings plc is designed to
combine the best of the values inherent in more experienced and developed
economies with due respect also being given to the nature of the market within
which the company is operating.
The founding directors have established high level commercial and diplomatic
ties with Bulgaria and have become very familiar with the country and its
potential. It is intended that the board will also consist in the short term of
Bulgarian nationals with directly relevant experience .
At present, Christopher Northam (as Managing Director) is supported by both
British and, at the subsidiary level, Bulgarian nationals. They are all experienced
in their individual areas of operation with the ability to do so bearing in mind the
best principles of corporate governance, having observed best practice and with
the interests of shareholders firmly at heart.
